• July14-2013--In what many regard as a joke the PMln seems to think that it is their efforts which has increased electricity supplies to around 15000MW...however most of that is the summer maximisation of hydel electricity which falls of sharply by end of teh year...that suggests that there is some increase in IPP generation...The PMLn will have to create new avenues of generation for the winter and early summer months...The PPP's Kaira also made multiple claims to have solved teh electricity crisis via summer hydel generation but they made them in august...however many feel that teh IPP's are still not making payments for fuel despite teh huge payouts by teh PMLn regime...the KP regime also seems to lack an understanding what punjab has to suffer because of the pukhtuns almost wholesale migration and many feel that punjab should be compensated by giving it KP's share of electricity and hydel revenues...
  
• July14-2013--The PPP which ran a sindh only province in pakistan government is accusing the PMLn of trying to emulate one unit...many feel that the total disregard of teh punjab by teh PPP is going to be offset by some centralized decision making...sindh had deliberately deprived punjab of gas and teh PMln is going to rectify teh error of teh PPP ways...sindh seems tobe unaware of teh relationships between water and gas and even electricity...punjab too will give them electricity after taking its fill
  
• July14-2013--In a surprising turnaround a BBC program suggests that altaf hussein threatened to rip out teh stomach of one of his partymen and also said he would put them in bodybags...farook sattar the altaf hussein slave suggests that was taken out of context too...many suggest that the imran farook killing whose investigation has led to the recovery of a huge amount of cash from the altaf hussein houses has led the british police to teh conclusion that money laundering might be involved...while it is quite well known that altaf hussein is funded by bhatta from karachi it is less well known that altaf hussein runs a small terrorist army that eliminates potential opponents and those who donot cough up teh cash...it is also rumoured that the mqm women use complaints to altaf hussein to knock off their husbands...while teh sindh PPP demanded half teh bhatta the present regime could provide the british any information that they need...many feel that teh british might be close to initiating court proceedings on several fronts against altaf hussein including involvement in teh murder of imran farook...many have however also suggested that teh PPP's asif zardari might be involved deeply with the altaf hussein activities...

• July10-2013--newspaper reports suggesting that pasha(former ISI chief) visited teh USA a few days before teh abbottabad attack and rushed back quickly can only suggest that teh ISI and army chief were involved and that everybody was out to make a fast buck on the issue...many suggest that the armed forces operations should have a 999 number so that they can directly be informed of an attack...many wonder why the armed forces did not respond faster...army chief should have immediately ordered a response rather than waste time...the issue of whether musharaf had a deal on teh ossama elimination is talked about and teh commission should interrogate the former army chief...people also wonder whether teh country should have slow moving zardaris and gilanis in senior governmental positions..other reports suggest that teh army/ISI had a clear understanding with the USA to allow teh elimination of ossama and after that teh war would theoretically be over...teh attitudes of teh armed forces are similar to the drone attack mentality which are carried out with impugnity and no response...one also wonders how a major with helicopters landing in front of him can think that it is an attack on kakul...the commission many suggest has clearly avoided teh issue of culpability of teh countries top army, intelligence and political leaders in what can only be described as treachery or treason...

• July9-2013--The abbottabad commission report which is now available to al jazeera suggests that the ISI, military and gilani government preferred to live in a fools paradise rather than confront invading helicopters from afghanistan...the report says that the government and military remained blind and only started moving after the american helicopters had left...the report does not comment on allegations that teh army and ISI chiefs knew of the whereabouts of Ossama as well as the american invasion of abbottabad...others also suggest that teh army chief had a falling out with the american army chief after he accused him of not telling them about Ossama's whereabouts...other reports suggest that teh americans were informed more than a year before teh Ossama raid...much earlier reports had suggested that ossama had been hidden in pakistan(either by teh taleban or ISI) and the americans would be informed when the armed forces thought it fit...or favourable...a major aziz who lived near Ossama suggests that suspicious visits by a lt col(r) saeed iqbal suggest that the ISI or MI knew about the Ossama hideout...saeed iqbal's son was an ADC to musharaf and he owned a security firm...also that there could possibly have been at least three vehicles with tinted glasses as ground observers... such vehicles could possibly be from the american embassy or ISI and were also observed removing foreign experts from the mehran airbase during a militant raid...the lt colonel apparently left pakistan for good after teh raid and thus could be a CIA spy...major aziz said he could not believe that sixteen children and a few wives could live without too much fuss

• July6-2013--Shaukat Tareen who probably has never seen an electricity bill see's no problem in adding three rupees to teh electricity price to follow IMF dictates...a domestic electricity bill for 1661 units these days totals Rs.26868 or an average of Rs16.06 almost double teh Nepra average price...most domestic users barring those below 700 are already paying more than teh average price...one would therefore suggest that electricity price hikes be limited to teh commercial, agricultural and industrial users who are paying much less
  
• July6-2013--The PMLn to ask military chiefs to attend an internal security meeting...many say teh PMLn wants to hide behind teh military chiefs who are regarded as teh architects of teh failed policy...most of teh violence started after the takeover by the army chief General Kiani...terrorism mostly anti military took off after teh military invasion of teh lal masjid and than went on almost continuously after that...it still shows no sign of subsiding...general Kiani was the ISI chief before his army chief tenure and many regard his attitudes and actions as having failed to control the issue..The PMLn now says their strategy will be to dismantle, contain, prevent,educate and reintegrate while teh PPP followed the development, dialogue and deterence strategy...while teh PPP is not known to have conducted any negotiations or development and usually just hid themsleves behind the redzone in islamabad...the PMLn strategy seems to be a reflection of teh armies swat doctrine which can only be achieved after military subjugation..many say the PPP was happy to see people and soldiers die and just save the lives of their and teh armies top echelon...they kept hyping "hum ne bari qurbanian deen hen" which impressed no one nor solved teh problem...The PMLn too will have to include talks and diplomacy as otherwise teh phsycological divide which shows little compassion in killing ones own countrymen will not be overcome...Imran Khan will not be at the conference as he is in england for a month of R&R

• July5-2013--Ishaq dar as expected goes for teh IMF crutches to implement his secret program of privatization, electricity price hikes, meaningless deficit control since it is implemented thru excessive taxation rather than reduction in spending...exchange reserve stability thru dollar price hikes, donor loans and IMF funding...The reserves have been slipping as teh previous IMF loan is returned...he obviously cannot achieve many of teh meaningless objectives such as state sector restructuring...the state sector can only be profitable if workers work on low wages...privatisation has been a general failure and no difference in teh deficits is seen by previous sell offs...The IPP's too seem tobe badly organized given that they cannot even arrange their own fuel...and despite almost twenty years down teh road teh IPP's have not reduced prices...The IMF board can therefore not realistically approve the loan given teh extensive and many say strange unimplementable conditions...pakistan has also asked for another 2 billion dollars..how the energy sector can be reformed after teh failure of earlier reforms is also up in teh air...
